In the options menu you can set different cursor styles.
Is it possible to assign a key which will toggle the cursorstyle when I press on the <X> key will go back to the previous style when I press <shift><X> just like I was used to in PCAD ?
And if it is possible.. in what way ?

Yes it is. You can assign to keyboard or to a toolbar, using the command Next Cursor Type.
