Hi there,
after I learned, that the floating license is not availiable on linux machines, I am thinking of using my synology nas with virtualhere to make my USB dongle availiable in the network. I hope to overcome my "several offices and dongle always in the other office" problem.

Anybody tried some of these "USB over Ethernet" solutions?
regards,
Stefan

Negative. I've seen it -- but haven't tried it.

I do Windows in a VM with all my other "need to access if I shut down my workstation" needs.

(Quickbooks, some network monitoring outside Munin)

But it's pretty thin and the VM is only set to use 2 cores and like 2GB. (Windows 7. such a pig for just running a license server. <rolling eyes> I do more with Atom D525 system that runs my Web/Mail/Nut/IMAP Server)
