I have a design, where I have 3 different alternative sensor components. Footprints are such, that they can be placed pretty much one on top of another int he same space, which is obviously not a problem, since only one of them will be installed in a given product variant.

Is there a way to disable / add an exception for component-to-component spacing check for particular components?

I think that this is a typical case for the use of variants. Just set up 3 variants. Each sensor is fitted in one variant. You should get no comp-to-comp errors then, even if the sensors overlap.
