I'm using the Embedded View feature in conjunction with the "Use own Layers/Colours" option to generate assembly drawings as PDF.
However, there is an issue: The Embedded View in the PDF ist not searchable, so one can't search for reference designators in the assembly drawing. It seems like the Embedded View just ends up as some sort of picture in the PDF.
I'm using the PDF XChange Viewer and Pulsonix 10.5 7876.
Currently the embedded feature is only active and update-able within Pulsonix and once it is exported into PDF it becomes a Bitmap image and will not be searchable within the PDF. I have logged an enhancement request on our system to be considered for a future release. Ref. 47544
This would be a great improvement to a already nice feature, since the embedded view being a bitmap also makes the PDF kind of clunky (big file size, slow image buildup in PDF viewer, artifacts).
