Pulsonix news and press releases.
The Berufsbildende Schule situated in Hannover, Germany, has successfully run their first full year using the Pulsonix EDA tools. Acting as a pioneer to install Pulsonix into vocational colleges in Germany, Westdev Ltd based in Tewkesbury in the UK has initially donated €72,000 of Pulsonix EDA to the college.
“We have worked with the Berufsbildende Schule and Herr Grabel to get Pulsonix into the college and get a well-structured course” says Bob Williams, Marketing Director of Westdev Ltd. “The course is vocational and handles all aspects of the PCB design process. With the lack of professionally trained PCB designers in Europe at the moment, this course will be providing a skilled workforce for the future. Our initial investment will be backed up with on-going yearly maintenance and all product releases.”
The Berufsbildende Schule is fully supported for all their technical requirements and upgrades by the engineers at Tecnotron, based in Weissensberg in Germany. Tecnotron instigated the contact with the Berufsbildende Schule and have managed the successful installation with them.
Herr Grabel, head of the upper secondary school at the Berufsbildende Schule says, “with a full syllabus in Schematic capture design, PCB layout and design plus the intricacies of checking plus outputs to manufacturing, all aspects of PCB design are covered in the course throughout the year. Our mission is to release fully trained and qualified students with practical experience into industry; students who are productive to real companies right from the off.”
The Requirements
Herr Grabel explains, “new students need to be able to concentrate on the core fundamentals of PCB design rather than fighting with the design software and having long learning curves to overcome. Pulsonix easily achieves this, it gives us the instant ease-of-use required to enable them to focus on the course contents and learning PCB design. With an annual intake of new students, it is important to us to have a reliable PCB design tool ready-to-use from day one, right up until graduation.”
