Compatibility with SAP and MRP 11 in new Pulsonix release

Tewkesbury, UK. (June 28, 2007) – Westdev Ltd. – the leading ‘price for performance’ EDA software company delivering technology-leading PCB design solutions today announced another new Pulsonix release within a year with14 new features. Included in this release are a Component Variant manager and a corporate database interface that allows users to integrate Pulsonix directly with SAP and MRP 11 database systems.

The Pulsonix Database Connection (PDC) option enables users to instantly access their corporate, manufacturing or engineering databases via an industry-standard ODBC connection, and work in all the major storage formats such as Access, SQLServer etc. This feature works with a very simple and easy to manage graphical interface that provides clear visibility of both the host database and Pulsonix design elements. Component selection uses powerful SQL parametric searching and drop-down menus in a user interface which is intuitive and easy-to-use.

Also included in this release is the enhanced Component Variant Manager, which has been expanded to include additional functionality across more Part variants; Part, Footprint and Attribute/Value variants are all available for each component in the design.
