Pulsonix, the leading ‘price for performance’ EDA software, has increased sales by 35% in the last year, with new distribution deals in Germany driving much of the growth. Pulsonix anticipate continuing high demand with all users with the release of Version 4.6, a mid-term release which includes a new Part Variant manager. Version 4.6 also introduces the new Pulsonix Database Connection (PDC) product, which will allow users to integrate Pulsonix directly with corporate databases such as SAP and MRP II.

Marketing Director Bob Williams puts the success down to three things, “a dedicated team of in-house developers, listening to customers and building strong relationships with distributors”’.

“Our in-house developers each bring specialist skills to the team and have worked on the product since its launch in 2001. They ensure new technologies are quickly captured and incorporated in the Pulsonix highly usable toolset. It’s critical if we are to lead on price-performance. We also work very closely to understand customers’ needs, and the partnership with Peschges Variometer GmbH and Tecnotron GmbH in Germany is one example of how successful this approach has been for all parties. In some cases we’ve shortened our support chain to customers, enabling developers to talk directly to end users when necessary - giving customers a much higher quality of service and support with a much higher turn-around of problems. It’s proved to be a winning combination for all parties.
