Westdev Ltd. – the PCB EDA company delivering technology-leading PCB design solutions today announced the signing of a technology agreement in which the PCB Libraries Library Expert will provide enhanced support for Pulsonix libraries.

PCB Libraries worked with Pulsonix to develop enhanced support for the Pulsonix native CAD format (.PLX files). This means the PCB Library Expert, the renowned automated PCB footprint and 3D STEP model creator, now offers unprecedented support for Pulsonix users. The Library Expert creates footprints compliant with the IPC-7351 “B” and “C” revisions. PCB Libraries is actively involved in the IPC-7351 committee to ensure up-to-date compliance.

The Library Expert is distributed by IPC along with the IPC-7351 Land Pattern standard, and comes with library documentation consisting of 5,000 different package case codes. Library Expert Pro users have access to a database of over 270,000 parts which is growing fast.
