With the global release of the new Windows 8® operating system from Microsoft®, David Manns, head of Pulsonix development for Westdev Ltd comments on Windows 8 and support for Pulsonix.

“Windows 8 is the latest edition of Windows from Microsoft, released to the general public this month. We are pleased to announce full support for Pulsonix V7.5 upwards running on Windows 8 in both 32- and 64-bit variants.

Tests at our research and development centre here in the UK have encountered no problems in Pulsonix that are specific to this version of Windows, and we are happy to support Windows 8 as a valid platform for Pulsonix.

As an official Microsoft Development Partner, we are privileged to be constantly provided with the latest updates to operating systems on a regular basis, which helps us to keep ahead of the game and ensure that our customers have the widest possible choice of support options.

As with all new editions of the operating system, we only provide support of Pulsonix under the official public version of Windows 8 released by Microsoft. This does not include any preview, evaluation or other pre-release editions. As for Pulsonix itself, only version 7.5 and later are certified as supported on Windows 8.”
