Pulsonix, the leading ‘price for performance’ EDA software, has announced the sponsorship for Team Elena, a leading-edge team formed by students of the University of Applied Sciences, Vorarlberg, Austria, during their masters studies in Energy Technics. The team's aim is to register for the Shell Eco Marathon 2015 in Rotterdam, Holland.

Team Elena will build an electric car based on the rules of Shell Eco Marathon Europe. It is completely designed, constructed and built by Team Elena at the University. The winner of the marathon is the most energy-efficient vehicle.

“With the Pulsonix System we design and build schematics and multilayer boards (up to 8-layers) for a battery managment system, a power control board, a solar control board and a graphical user interface. The boards will be produced by an express manufacturer in Austria. Westdev has kindly sponsored us with over €10,000 of Pulsonix PCB design software for the project”, says Sascha Steina, team member of Team Elena. “This has enabled us to concentrate on the complex electronics for the vehicle.”
