Pulsonix news and press releases.
“Westdev has joined the IPC-2581 consortium so that we can provide our users with the latest neutral open data transfer format from our Pulsonix PCB tool suite,” says Bob Williams, Marketing Director for Westdev.
“The market is moving towards transparent data transfer protocols that provide smooth transition between designs and the outside world. With obvious deficiencies in existing historical formats, the IPC-2581 is becoming widely regarded as the essential ‘next-generation’ interface. Supporting IPC-2581 will enable our users to stay up-todate with the latest formats available. We are pleased to be a corporate member of the consortium and hope to bring some of our experience in the EDA industry to this format.”
Pulsonix release 8.5 will support the IPC-2581B format as a single file export capability in Q1 2015.
