PCB Libraries - PCB Expert - Technology & Mapping Files
PCBLIBRARIES.ZIP (55Kb)
The ZIP file provided is for use when using the PCB Libraries PCB Expert program. Included in the compressed file are a suitable Technology file and a Layer Mapping file for use during the import of the .plx format files into Pulsonix.
The Technology file should be saved to your Pulsonix Technology folder for selection during the import of the .plx files. The Mapping file can be saved into the same folder as your design and browsed for during import.
Download the Interface Import Guide for detailed information on how to use PCB Libraries with Pulsonix.
System Information
SUPPORTINFO.EXE (70Kb)
This is a program for displaying support-related information about Pulsonix. It uses some of the Pulsonix modules to gather information, so it should be saved to your Pulsonix program folder and run from there.
Licensing
Network License Server Install 13.0 Build 1 (165.7Mb)
This is the installer for the Pulsonix Network License Server application suite (NLS Manager, NLS service, and associated tools).
Network Licensing installation and operation
The accompanying user guide that provides details about how to install, configure and operate the Network License Server.
HASPID V2.4 (4.5Mb)
A program for displaying information about the HASP USB security key. To use this as a standalone program (prior to installing Pulsonix or the Network License Server), simply unpack the Zip file into a folder and run the HASPID.exe program from there (you may also require the VS2017 runtime from the Runtime Files tab). If you already have Pulsonix software installed (version 9.5 or later) you only need to place the EXE file into the folder where the Pulsonix software lives, as the associated DLL files will already be present.
GETMACS.EXE V1.02 (54Kb)
A program for displaying the "MAC" addresses of all the network devices it can find on your system. This is a standalone program and does not require a Pulsonix installation, and should run on any supported version of Windows that has networking installed. It will report the information we require to generate you a license.
Download it to your downloads folder. Locate it using Windows Explorer and double-click on it.
When you run the program, you will see it flash on the screen for a moment, then the results will be available on the Windows clipboard for you to paste into a file or email message. In your email to us, press Ctrl-V to paste the clipboard.
If you wish, you can run the program from a command prompt as it outputs its findings to the console. Launch a command prompt using the Windows 'flag' key and R together, then type CMD in the entry box and <Enter>.
From the command window, type the following:
cd c:\users\your_name\downloads <Enter> GETMACS > temp.txt <Enter>
The following will be reported for your server machine:
Using GetAdapterInfo 00-23-bd-5b-37-06 Broadcom 57xx Using SNMP 00-23-BD-5B-37-06 Broadcom 57xx Using NetBIOS 00-23-BD-5B-37-06 System Serial Number 323455837
Send the file or contents from the file or command window in an email reply to us.
Runtime Files
PostgreSQL ODBC Connector (64-bit) (4.5Mb)
Installation program for the 64-bit edition of the PostgreSQL ODBC Connector. This connector is required to access the Pulsonix Vault database from Pulsonix V12.0 onwards. It is usually installed automatically by the main Pulsonix product installer but we've had a few reports of systems where it needed to be installed manually.
Visual Studio 2015-2022 (64-bit) (24.8Mb)
Installation program for the C++ runtime files from Microsoft Visual Studio 2015-2022. This is sometimes needed to repair or replace the runtime files, for example if uninstalling another application has mistakenly removed these files or replaced them with the wrong version. This may for example be required if you encounter a message "unable to load License.dll" during Setup when trying to install one of our applications. These 64-bit VS2015-2022 runtime files are used by Pulsonix Version 12.0 onwards.
Visual Studio 2015-2022 (32-bit) (13.5Mb)
Installation program for the C++ runtime files from Microsoft Visual Studio 2015-2022. This is sometimes needed to repair or replace the runtime files, for example if uninstalling another application has mistakenly removed these files or replaced them with the wrong version. This may for example be required if you encounter a message "unable to load License.dll" during Setup when trying to install one of our applications. VS2015-2022 runtime files are used by Pulsonix Version 10.0 onwards. This download is version 14.40.33810.0.
Visual Studio 2013 (64-bit) (7.2Mb)
Installation program for the C++ runtime files from Microsoft Visual Studio 2013. This is sometimes needed to repair or replace the runtime files, for example if uninstalling another application has mistakenly removed these files or replaced them with the wrong version. This may for example be required if you encounter a message "unable to load 3DIO.dll" when invoking the 3D Viewer.
Visual Studio 2010 (8.7Mb)
Installation program for the C++ runtime files from Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. This is sometimes needed to repair or replace the runtime files, for example if uninstalling another application has mistakenly removed these files or replaced them with the wrong version. VS2010 runtime files are used by Pulsonix Version 7.6 onwards. This download is version 10.0.40219.325.
MSVC80 Runtime (586Kb)
MSVC80 side-by-side assembly files from Microsoft. Unzip this file into your C:\Windows\WinSxs folder, if you are prompted to Merge with existing folders then say Yes. These files are rarely needed, but on a few systems we have found that they are required to allow the Advanced Router to run.
Visual Studio 2003 (810Kb)
A collection of the C++ runtime files from Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, may be required on some systems to install Pulsonix program updates. Unpack this Zip into your Windows System32 folder (or SysWow64 on a 64-bit system), or simply place them in the same folder as the program that requires them. VS2003 runtime files are used by Pulsonix Version 7.5 and older.
USB Security Key Installation
HASPUSERSETUP.EXE (23.3Mb)
HASP/LDK GUI install for USB security key drivers (Version 8.43, 6 June 2022). Use this one for a normal HASP key installation.
HASPDINST.EXE (24.2Mb)
HASP/LDK command-line install for USB security key drivers (Version 8.43, 6 June 2022).
DIAGNOSTIX.EXE (1.7Mb)
A diagnostic program for USB security keys (Version 1.10, 23-Jul-04).
USB Security Key Drivers
If you still experience problems with USB security keys after installing the latest drivers from here, it is probably worth checking the vendor web site for more recent downloads. Look for the Sentinel LDK drivers/runtimes, these are backwards-compatible with the USB security keys we use.
Further trouble-shooting
If you find that our application still reports that the HASP driver is not installed or cannot be accessed, you may need to fully remove the current driver files and install them from fresh. You can do this as follows:
- Open a Windows file explorer and browse to your Pulsonix program folder, or the folder where you have placed a freshly downloaded copy of the command-line HASPDINST.EXE installer.
- In the address bar of Explorer, replace the current contents with the single word "cmd" without the quotes and press Enter. This should open a command prompt window, set to the required folder.
- Remove the USB key from your computer.
-
Now type the following three commands in turn and press Enter after each one:
haspdinst -r -fr haspdinst -purge haspdinst -i -ld
- Reboot your computer and re-insert the USB key, you should now find that it works as expected.
