This tab allows you to set the default properties used when inserting an Area into the design.

Using the Area Defaults Tab
An Area can have a default Layer (if selected in PCB) and a Line Style defined for it.
Layer
In PCB, the Layer name to be used for the area is selected from a drop down list defined in
the Technology Layers dialog.
As well as specific named electrical layers, you can also choose layer sets <Through Board>,
<Top Side> <Bottom Side> etc. and layer spans by name (if you have the Area Spans feature
enabled).
Line Style
The Line Style used for the area is selected from a drop down list defined in the Technology Line Styles dialog.
