The Print to PDF option is available from the File menu. It is a quick alternative to using the CAM Plot output. It will print the current schematic page, or in PCB, the currently displayed layers. It uses the device settings from the default PDF output device defined in the CAM Plot dialog.
This option is really just for very quick ‘one click’ PDF printing. It is better to use the CAM Plot option to export all drawings required to PDF. The CAM Plot dialog enables you to plot multiple pages of a Schematic, or all Layers of a PCB for example. It also enables you to plot layer combinations as well. Scaling, border control and positioning is also available in the CAM Plot option.
Settings to be aware of
Be aware that the switch set under Options and Display for Translucent Copper will have an effect on any printed copper areas in your PDF plot.
