The Rotate option, available in 3D Viewer, allows for the rotating of one 3D item using predefined rotation steps.

Locating this option
Within the 3D Viewer, there are option available from:
3D Design menu > Rotate > Rotate by 90 Degrees >
3D Design menu > Rotate > Rotate> By Step >
There are three options for each function available:
Rotate by 90 Degrees> On X Axis
Rotate by 90 Degrees> On Y Axis
Rotate by 90 Degrees> On Z Axis
Rotate> By Step> On X Axis
Rotate> By Step> On Y Axis
Rotate> By Step> On Z Axis
Using Rotate
To use this option, you must have Components and/or Enclosures set as Selectable in the STEP 3D View Settings - Interaction dialog.
For a selected item, select the Rotate mode and this will be instantly applied to the object.
Any change in rotation that takes place as a result of orienting will be reflected in the STEP or STL output when the Write STEP File or Write STL File options are used.
If you have the Automatically Synchronise 2D option enabled then the rotation of the corresponding component on the originating PCB will be updated.
