These commands are used to report information from a layer span in the design, for example, Name, From Layer, To Layer etc. They are used when using the List Of Layer Spans command on a PCB design. Some of the commands can also be used on a via to report information from its span.

Using the dialog

These commands use the standard Edit Value command dialog. The dialog will allow you to make selections using the Value: field for the commands required.

From Layer

The name of the first layer of the current span.

From Layer Number

Reports the layer order of the first layer of the current span.

Is Blind Or Buried

This reports “true” if the current layer span is not through the whole board.

Is Buried

This reports “true” if the current layer span does not reach the top or bottom sides of the board.

Is Micro Via

This check is used on layer span to check if it is between two same facing layers, and therefore intended for micro vias.

Is Used

This reports “true” if the current layer span is used by a via in the design.

Layer Span Name

The name of the current layer span.

To Layer

The name of the last layer of the current span.

To Layer Number

Reports the layer order of the last layer of the current span.

Span Depth

The thickness of the current span, calculated using the layer thickness of each layer in the span.

Type

Reports a description of the type of the current layer span.
