Hatch is a term relating to filled shapes where instead of a complete filled area there is a pattern introduced into the shape. This pattern may be simply straight lines of a given angle and spacing, or a cross hatch pattern may be used.
Use after Copper Pour to hatch the poured copper areas.

How To Hatch Shapes
- Select a filled shape and use the Hatch option from the Utilities main menu.
- Select a filled shape and right click the mouse to use the Hatch option from the shortcut menu.
The default Hatch Style will be defined for each selected type of shape (i.e Copper, Boardetc.) using that shape’s settings.
How To Change A Shape’s Hatch Style
- Each Shape that can contain a Hatch Style has its own Default Hatch Style. these can be defined on each shape default page, i.e. Copper, Board etc. These will then be used during the appropriate shape Hatch operation.
- Select the hatched shape and right click the mouse to use the Properties option from the shortcut menu to change the hatch style.
If the required hatch style is not available use the Hatch Styles tab from the Technology dialog on the Setup menu. This option can be used to alter existing styles, or to add new hatch styles into the design.
Note: If the design type will always have a Hatch of a particular pattern you may wish to change the Technology File.
Latch Mode
Hatch can be used in Latched Mode allowing you to hatch filled shapes as you pick them.
