Use this to lock items so that they cannot be moved or edited.

How To Lock An Item
- Select an item in the design using Select Mode, select Lock from the Utilities menu.
- Select item using Select Mode or Edit Mode, click the right mouse button and select the Lock command from the shortcut menu.
- Select item using Select Mode or Edit Mode, click the right mouse button and select Properties from the shortcut menu. Check the locked box in the Properties dialog.
Following this action the item may not be moved or edited. If an attempt is made to move or edit a locked item a Operations On Locked Items warning dialog will be displayed.
Actions on locked Component Names
When a Component Name is locked (locked name or locked component), when it is selected, there is an option available on the context menu - Allow move of name attribute on Locked items. This is a toggle item that overrides the lock status.
If you want to disable the option, right clicking again on the selected component or name allows you to select the option, Don’t allow move of Name attribute on Locked items.
These options are also available when multiple components are selected.
Latch Mode
Lock can be used in Latched Mode allowing you to lock items simply by picking them.
