Using the Ungated Pins Properties Dialog
Ungated pins are pins on the component which are not associated with a gate. You can assign these pins to a net, so that they will appear in the netlist, and will be connected when a PCB design is created from the schematic.
If Override Pin Type is unchecked the Pin Type displayed is as defined in the part. Check the Override Pin Type box to choose a different local pin type from the drop down list. This list will contain the pin types defined in the designs technology data. Pin types are used in Electrical Rule Checking and are only really relevant if the pin is on a net.
To assign an ungated pin to a net, select a net name from the list next to the appropriate pin name. The list will contain nets that are suitable for the chosen pin type, but you can type any net name you require, or remove the net name to leave the pin unused.
When applying the changes you will be warned if the type of a chosen net, as defined in its net class, is not suitable for the pin type.
