This command is available from the Footprint Library Manager dialog. It enables you to rebuild a library index.
What is a library index?
A library index contains a summary of the contents of a library, enabling quick searches to be made without reading the library itself. A footprint library index can also contain attribute values which are used.
Defining the indexed attributes
The dialog provides a list of the attributes defined in the current Footprint Technology, plus any currently used for indexing and any which you choose to add by typing them into the box at the bottom of the dialog and pressing the Add button. You should select those which you want in the index, then press OK to perform the indexing, which may take a few moments.
