Design Settings - Defaults - Breakout

This tab allows you to set the default properties for Breakout. These defaults will be used when you add a Breakout to a footprint.

Setup menu > Design Settings option > Defaults > Breakout page

Setup menu > Technology option > Design Settings > Defaults > Breakout page

Using the Breakout Defaults Tab

A Breakout requires the Minimum and Nominal Track styles to be defined as well as the Via Style.

Minimum Track

Choose the Minimum Track to use. Select from the list of Track Styles already defined in your Technology.

Nominal Track

Choose the Nominal Track to use. Select from the list of Track Styles already defined in your Technology.

via Style

Choose a suitable Via Style for the Breakout via using the drop down list of Pad Styles defined in the Pad Styles dialog in your Technology.
