List of Designs
List of Designs allows you to run a report on multiple designs at the same time. Each design is picked up by scanning a specified directory and reading all relevant designs. This command can also be run from the Vault where it will search the Vault for all designs of the specified type.
You can specify the search directory by double clicking on the command. This will take you to the Edit List of Designs dialog.
Design Name
Use within List of Designs to report the name of the design.
Design Extension
Use within List of Designs to report the extension of the design.
Design Path
Use within List of Designs to report the full path of the design.
Contexts
You can apply the List of Designs command in a PCB, Schematic and Vault context.
Using this command with the PCB context enabled will prompt the search to look for PCB designs. The same applies to the Schematic context. To search for both PCBs and Schematics, enable both contexts.
You can also use this command in a Vault context. When running from the Vault, the report will ignore any saved options in the Edit List of Designs dialog, and only perform the search on all designs in the currently connected Vault. Like above, you can specify which design type to search for by enabling the relevant context.
Vault
Using this command in a Vault report allows you to create more in-depth reports from designs. However, due to it’s nature, running on a Vault containing lots of designs and/or having a slow connection to the Vault may cause the report generation time to increase.
