Use this page to set up the Breakout Rules For Specctra.
Breakout
Breakouts are short escape tracks from SMD pads to vias. If Breakout is enabled then number of breakout routing passes will be invoked before doing full routing.
Direction specifies direction the escape tracks are allowed to go. Select In from the drop down list for the tracks to escape inside the footprint, select Out for tracks to escape outside the footprint, or In and Out for both directions.
Via Share allows the router to share vias between SMD pads on the same net.
Pin Share allows the router to escape to through hole pins on the same net.
Allowable Pin Types
Check All Pin Types to allow breakout from all pin types.
Check Specific Pin Types to allow breakout from only the selected pin types. Check Single for all pins on signal nets that interconnect with one or more other pins. Check Power for all pins on power nets. Check Single Pin to allow pins that are not connected to other pins to have breakouts generated.
