The Layers page is used by the legacy 3D Viewer and allows you to view and select the Layers the 3D View is currently using. This dialog is only available once in the 3D View window.

Note, the legacy 3D View option will be removed from Pulsonix at some point.

Locating this option

Available from: Edit menu > Run Command > 3D View Settings > Layers tab

Using the dialog

Some of these layers will correspond to the layers in your PCB design, others will be added automatically as the 3D View option determines the additional physical layers required for the circuit board. Substrate layers are automatically added between electrical layers in the most appropriate place that the program can determine.

If you wish to display only some of the layers, uncheck the box alongside the layer(s) you wish to hide. You might, for example, want to view the unpopulated board so you would turn off the ‘Components’ layers. Or you could turn off the Substrate layer(s) and view the copper tracks and pads without the board shapes in between.

This page is only displayed if you view the 3D Settings dialog from a 3D View window, as the layer choices in the list only apply to the 3D layer ‘stack’.
