Mouse Installation and Settings
There are no additional settings in Pulsonix required. Once the mouse driver is installed and active, it can be used with the Pulsonix product.
Using a 3D Connexion Space Mouse in the 3D Viewer
If a 3D Connexion Space Mouse is installed on your system it can be used to manipulate the view point in the 3D Viewer and provides greater manoeuvrability in the 3D space. It provides an alternative to using mouse moves and button presses to move around the 3D View and unlike the mouse allows rotation in all three directions.
Using a 3D Connexion Space Mouse with the SCM and PCB Design Editors
If a 3D Connexion Space Mouse is installed on your system it can be used to manipulate the view point in the design editors (Schematic and PCB). It works for the pan functionality in the X and Y axis, and zoom for any native designs including SCM, PCB, PCB Panels, Footprints and Symbols.
Configuring the 3D Connexion Space Mouse for use with Pulsonix
There is background support for adding Pulsonix commands to the SpaceMouse configuration software so that commands such as Insert Track or Properties for example, (but not limited to), can be assigned to a specific button on the SpaceMouse.
Note, in order for this feature to work, a configuration file must be provided to you by us. The file would contain a list of available Pulsonix commands required. As the commands require a unique ID, you will need to request the commands you want to assign to the keys. Only the command name is required, not the key it will be assigned to. The Pulsonix command list runs into many hundreds, many of which are rarely used. Hence why it is a request-only feature.
In order to obtain the commands you require and instructions on how to implement these commands, you must contact your local support centre and they will assist you.
