This tab allows you to setup parameters which define how the Online Electrical Rule Checking behaves.

Using the Online ERC Options Tab
Online ERC
If this is checked, some level of electrical rule checking will be performed when adding connections and adding items to nets. At the moment only the checking of Pin Type Pair Rules is done by the online check. The depth of this checking is determined by the following options.
On Drop
Use this to automatically check that the starting or finishing of a connection does not cause a Pin Type Pair Rules error to occur. This will in general be something like having two Output pins in a net.
After Edit
Use this to automatically check the changed items after editing using Item Properties. This will in general do with adding/changing the net of a pin.
Add Error Marker
If using On Drop or After Edit and you wish to continue even though the change will result in an error, use this switch to automatically insert an error marker into the design. This will remind you of the error so that you can fix it at a later stage.
Treat All Dangling Connections As Unfinished
This option causes a connection to be marked as unfinished (i.e. Drawn on the unfinished colour) if it ends on nothing at one of its ends, even if it is labelled with the net name.
Treat All Dangling Bus Connections As Unfinished
Available if Treat All Dangling Connections As Unfinished is unchecked. This option causes a connection from a bus terminal to be marked as unfinished (i.e. Drawn on the unfinished colour) if it does not end on a pin, even if it is labelled with the net name.
