Integra files in the following formats can be opened in Pulsonix:
- Integra versions 3.6 and 4.0 in the TXF format. Integra projects and libraries can be converted. (Note that earlier versions may work but this has not been verified).
Exporting Projects and Libraries from Integra Station.
Integra libraries hold complete schematic symbol, footprint and part data. So this procedure exports all the required data for a particular library. Similarly Integra Projects hold both the PCB and schematic designs.
- Run the Integra Station.
- From the File menu select Open Project
- Open the project or library that you want to translate
- This adds the library or project to the Project Manager. Select the file in the manager.
- From the File menu select Write TXF file. Select the filename that you want to save to in the file browser.
Reading TXF files into Pulsonix
Use File/Open to open an Integra TXF project. This will create both PCB and schematic designs.
Use the Library Manager to read in the Library TXF file. You will need to read the file into each of the library types.
Alternatively you use Data Transfer Wizard to read in the Integra projects and libraries.
Known Restrictions with the Integra Import
In Integra tracks can connect to any part of a pad. In Pulsonix there is one specified connect point. For symmetrical pads this is not a problem as we can add an extra segment to the connect point. For polygonal pads (which could e.g. be U-Shaped) it is not easy to add an extra segment without causing DRC errors. So no attempt is made to connect the track to the pad. This should not be a problem as the copper of the track will still be touching the pad.
In Integra there appears to be sometimes a small break between track segments. It is not possible to join these segments. So some tracks will appear as unfinished if this happens. Again this is not a problem as the copper of these segments will actually touch.
