Ariadne designs (Schematic and PCB) and Libraries up to version 9.8 can be imported into Pulsonix. Other versions may be imported but have not been verified.

Running the extraction and import process for Ariadne files

Exporting Designs in ASCII Format from Ariadne

  1. In Ariadne, open the PCB design (.lay) or Schematic design (.sch) that you wish to translate.
  2. From the File menu, select Save As. Select the PCB ASCII (*.pca) or Schematic ASCII (*.sca) and give it the name you want to save it as.

Reading Ariadne design files into Pulsonix

  1. From the File menu, select Open. Select the Ariadne file, pca or sca ASCII design. The selected design will read in and be displayed ready for use.
  2. Alternatively, drop the ASCII file onto Pulsonix where it will automatically be detected and the Import dialog will be presented.
  3. Once imported, use Save to save it as a native Pulsonix file for future use.

Reading Ariadne libraries files into Pulsonix

  1. In Ariadne, open the Library and from the File menu, select Save As. Save the Library in .asc ASCII format.
  2. In Pulsonix, from the Library Manager, drop the .asc file onto the interface from your Windows explorer where you will be presented with the Save Selected Items to Library dialog.
  3. Select your libraries and options from the dialog, then press OK to start the import. All library items selected will appear in their relevant library under their type tab (Parts, Symbols and Footprints).
