Each Vault user will need their own Vault sign-in account set up. These are completely separate from both Windows user accounts and Postgres users or roles, and are only used to manage access to the facilities of the Vault.

Using the dialog

At the top of the page are the Users that already exist in the Vault. The Admin user is built in to the Vault and cannot be removed or renamed.

To alter an existing user, select the name of a user in the list to see the properties of that user. Alter the properties of the user as required, and click the Save Changes button to commit those changes to the Vault.

To add a new user, click Add, set up the user as required, and click Save Changes.

Deleting user

Use the Delete button to remove an existing user. A user cannot be deleted once it has taken part in any interaction with the Vault such as checking an item in or out.
