Using the Line Style Properties Dialog
To change the line style, either select another existing style from the dropdown list, or edit the width and line pattern parameters. If the parameters match an existing style, its name will be selected from the dropdown list automatically. If you wish to create a new style, either enter a new style name, or leave it blank, so that the system can assign a new name for you.
The style name uniquely identifies the style, but you can have more than one style with the same width and line pattern parameters.
The Width is shown in the current design units.
You can choose a Line Pattern other than Solid if you wish. There are a number of possible combinations of dots and dashes. The sizes of the gaps and dashes are defaulted according to the current width, but you can modify these to get the desired result.
Note: some design items are drawn with the Solid line style irrespective of the pattern setting. In particular, filled or hatched shapes, busses and connected copper are always drawn Solid.
