This dialog contains attribute names and colours for both user-defined attributes and System Attributes.
Locating this option
Available from: Setup menu > Colours > Attributes tab
Using the Attribute Colours Tab
The left side of the dialog lists the attributes defined in the design (see: Technology - Attribute Names). The design may contain Attribute Positions for any of these attributes. The check box next to the attribute name toggles the attribute visibility on all layers.
If you right click on an attribute it will show an Apply To All Attributes option, which applies the visibility of the selected attribute to all other attributes in the list.
When an attribute from the list is selected, the right side of the dialog shows the visibility, selectability and colour for each layer in the design. This has the same format as the other colour tabs.
Display Attributes with No Value
The Display Attributes with No Value check box will show attribute positions even if the attribute is not currently satisfied on the item it is attached to. This is mostly useful when defining a footprint, where the attribute position acts as a place holder, to be satisfied when the footprint is used in a design.
Force Display Of Attribute Positions
The Force Display Of Attribute Positions check box will show all attribute positions regardless of their visibility settings above. They will still obey the overall display status of each layer.
This is useful for visually finding attribute positions. Normally, this option should be unchecked.
