‘Resize All Columns to Fit’ Command in dialog grids
For grids within Pulsonix, you can right click on the header and use the Resize All Columns to Fit command to ensure all the headers for the grids are auto-sized to fit.
Component Variants Rules added to Technology
Within a Schematic Technology you can define Component Variant Rules. This provides you with a fast mechanism for defining the Fitted and Not-Fitted status to items within Components, Areas and Hierarchical Blocks without defining each component individually.
Data Matrix Font Added
A new text font has been introduced enabling you to use the Data Matrix font style.
Pad Styles has optional Drill Type and Tolerances
Pad Styles can now be defined with a Type and Tolerance.
Changes to Acid Trap Rules
Significant changes have been made to Acid Trap rules within the Design spacings dialog. This option was previous named Tracks and has been renamed and additional functionality defined. functionality has been overhauled to check for trapped acid on copper as well as tracks.
Copper Check Rule Changes
The Copper Check Rules have been changed with the underlying code rewritten to be more comprehensive.
Copper Antennae Rule
A new Copper Antennae Rule has been introduced. This is a more specific rule for antennas in copper.
Component Variants - Multi-selection Fit / Unfit
You can now select multiple components with simplified variants in the Component Variants Spreadsheet and then Fit or Unfit them by variant.
Styles Tool in Library Manager
In the Library Manager, a Styles Tool button is now available in the Schematic Symbols, Schematic Doc Shapes, PCB Footprints and PCB Doc Symbols pages. This enables you to manage, rename and merge styles within selected library items.
Drag Schematic Pages in Design Browser
If you are using multiple pages or hierarchy in your Schematic design, you can now drag and drop a design within the Design Browser list to change the order.
Select Functional Logic Name of a Part Pin
In a Schematic design you can Define Functional Logic Names of a Part pin in the design when a logic name reassignment is required.
CSV Import of Logic Names
In a Schematic design, you can Import Functional Logic Names of a Part pin in the design when a logic name reassignment is required.
IDX Collaboration Interface
In PCB, the IDX Collaboration option can be used as an alternative to the STEP format, used for integration with mechanical CAD packages.
3D Viewer Enhancements
The 3D Viewer option has been enhanced with the introduction of Neutral Bending Axis in Flexi-folding, a Photo-realistic Display and Realistic Solder Mask in the 3D Viewer.
High-Speed Option - Nominate Net as the Track Length Match Target
Nominate a Net to be the Track Length Match Target in the Technology. This net will then be matched in the PCB within the Rules Spreadsheet.
High-Speed Option - Rules Driven Impedance Controlled Routing
Manually route tracks using a track width that is calculated from the Track Impedance Rule defined in your Technology.
Layer-based Translucency and Item Hatching
The Colours - Layers dialog has additional columns for specifying Translucency and Hatching values for a layer. This is also available within an embedded view.
Reload Attributes Only option
A new option - Load Attributes From Library, has been added to the context menu when a Component is selected in the design. Use this option to load just Attributes only from the Library or Vault into Components in the design.
