Pulsonix can be used with the Electronics Workbench MultiSIM product and the previous releases under the Interactive Image Technology Electronics Workbench product name of Electronics Workbench.
Both product ranges can produce netlist formats which Pulsonix can read into its PCB Design Editor product. Pulsonix can also produce a back annotation file which can be read back into Electronics Workbench or MultiSIM.
This help page describes the process for EWB imports, if using Ultimate Technology (UltiBoard and UltiCAP) products please refer to the Ultimate Interface help page.
Exporting Schematic Netlists From Electronics Workbench
If using Electronics Workbench Schematic Capture as your choice of Schematic design editor you can export to a netlist which can be read into Pulsonix.
Pulsonix can accept Electronics Workbench netlists in the following formats:
- OrCAD Native EDIF netlist format, or;
- OrCAD PCB 386 (*.NET) format.
Currently, there is no library import mechanism to Pulsonix. Please check with your local sales office for availability.
If the imported file contains components or packages not yet defined in any internal mapping, Pulsonix produces a report containing the omissions. You should use this report to correct problems in Electronics Workbench and import the file into Pulsonix again.
