This page of the Options dialog allows you to change the file extensions for the various files used by the application.

Using the File Extensions Tab

The list shows the current settings for the various file extensions.

It would not generally be necessary to change the file extensions used for any particular type of file, but should you find it necessary to do so, the operation is very simple.

Select the item that you wish to change, and press Edit. The Edit dialog is displayed, allowing you to modify the extension.

If more than one extension are associated with a file type then they will appear separated by ”;” (semi colon).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Changing the file extension for any “input” files may prevent the application from correctly interpreting the type of any such files already stored on disk. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you do not change the extensions for these files.
