Layer Class
The Layer Class setting is used when adding a new layer in the Technology Layers dialog in a PCB design. This will only be used if creating a new set of layers. If a layer already exists, creating a new one will use the Layer Class of the selected layer.
Note: when adding a new layer, the layer class is normally taken from the existing Layer and the Layer Class it uses. This setting would generally only be used if your design has no Layers defined, which is unlikely.
Hatch Style
This is the hatch style initially selected when hatching is enabled for a layer. It may be overridden by choosing an alternative hatch style in the Colours - Layers dialog.
Hatch Line Style
This is the line style used for drawing all layer hatching on screen. For this purpose, it will take preference over the line styles of individual shape items on the layer.
