How To Edit the Part from the Vault using this option

Whilst in Select Mode or Edit Mode, select the required component then right click the mouse and use Check Out Part And Edit from the context menu.

If this option is available, the Part being used by the selected component will have been identified as being from the Vault, otherwise the option will be greyed out.

When the option is clicked the Part will be checked out from the Vault and automatically opened for edit.

How To Apply Changes Made To The Part

Once you have altered the Part, you can save it back to the Vault using Check Into Vault where it will become a new version. Note: that it is also possible to save a copy of the modified Part to a Pulsonix library using Save To Library.

If the modified Part has been saved back into the Vault, and you wish to use that new Vault version in your design, switch back to the PCB or Schematics design window that contains the selected component. Right click the mouse to show the context menu and use the Reload From Library option, ensuring that the Reload From: Vault option is enabled. This will load the new version of Part, from the Vault, in to the design.

Note: All components in the design that use this Part will be updated.

You cannot have different versions of the same named Part within a design.
