Using the Breakout Properties Dialog
As well as the Breakout properties, there are additional tabs showing the associated Segment and Net properties.
The tab shows the start item, end item and the layer for the breakout as well as information for the specific segment(s) that are currently selected. The dialog shown below is for a breakout in a footprint library item. The start item is the pin number and it shows the breakout ending on a breakout via.
The dialog shows the start and end items for the breakout, which might be a component pad and a via.
You can change the layer the breakout is on. You can also change the track style used.
Automatically Converted to Track - when checked will cause the breakout to be immediately converted to a track when the pad is added to a net. This option works in conjunction with the Convert Breakouts to Tracks option in the PCB design. (see Breakouts)
Convert to Track on unconnected pads - when checked will cause pads not defined on a net to also receive the breakout track. (see Breakouts)
