Using the Documentation Shape Colours Tab
This tab is used to control the colour and visibility of shapes on non-electrical layers. That is Shapes, Dimensions and Text Callouts.
When a technology file is used with a footprint design, the component shape colour is transferred to the shape columns, because this is consistent with their final use in a PCB design. Similarly for Doc. Sym. Shape colours when editing a documentation symbol. The Comp. Shapes and Doc. Sym. Shapes columns are therefore not needed when editing a footprint or documentation symbol. The same is true for the Dimension and Callout columns.
