This command appears for a Component or Parts or Component Group as a selectable field. It is available in both Schematic and PCB design types. It is used to report the name of the default footprint on the Part, regardless of whether it is used or not.
By using this command, it is possible to list the Parts that have and have not used their default footprints (if changed by you in the design). As an example, you could list the Footprints used and the Default footprint names next to them for each Component.

C2 PTH200/40 SM0402

CheckFootprints.rff on the Pulsonix web site under Support. This also shows how a variable can be used to filter footprints that only have different Default Footprint Names.
