Use this to mitre the corners of existing tracks. There are options to mitre the whole design or selected tracks only. You can also remove existing mitres using the unmitre options. A mitre is a short segment which blunts the track corners (i.e. a 45 degree segment to a 90 degree corner). The mitre can be straight or curved.

Auto Mitre
You can set the auto mitre parameters by using the Auto Mitre All command, or the Auto Mitre Parameters command. These bring up the dialog shown above.
Use Curved Mitres to insert an arc instead of a line for the mitre.
Use Any Angle to allow mitres to be added to non-orthogonal (not 90 degree) corners. Normally only 90 degree corners are mitred.
Maximum Mitre Size - This is the maximum mitre offset in the X or Y direction, not its length. Mitres are usually added using this size, but if the adjoining segments are short it will add the largest size it can fit in.
Minimum Mitre Size - When the maximum size cannot be used because the 90 degree segment is too short, a smaller mitre will be inserted. This parameter makes sure that the mitres do not become too small.
Note Mitres are only added where they will not cause design errors.
Use Apply Settings button to store the parameter settings, or use the Mitre button to perform mitring.
Unmitre
The Unmitre tool will attempt to remove mitres. It analyses the corners and will identify segments which could have been added by the mitring tool (it uses the mitre sizes set in the Auto Mitre parameters as a guide). The segments identified as mitres are removed. The segment are not removed if that will not cause design errors.
Saved in Technology
The parameters defined in this dialog are saved to both the design and as part of the technology. As such, they can be exported using Save Technology and loaded into new designs as part of a Technology file.
